Happy Birthday, Uncle Joe

For the past six years Uncle Joe has been playing mind games and picking on Nate like a big brother. All that and Nate still thinks he's super cool. Nate is always bringing up Uncle Joe and imagining how Uncle Joe would react to situations. He feels like he constantly has to prove himself to him.

After Nate completed all of Mario Kart and won first place, he asked me to make a video of the credits to show that he completed it so that Uncle Joe couldn't argue with him. Here is official documentation to show Nate's achievement.
Poor kid. Uncle Joe is across the planet and he still feels like he needs to get his argument ready just in case.

Uncle Joe is missing out on the opportunity to celebrate his birthday with the party kids in person. That doesn't mean his day will go without celebration though! Happy Birthday Uncle Joe! From Nate and Kate:
And that's not all:

I couldn't get those videos to upload any other way.

More party pictures.
Nate can't wait to dig in!

Hope you enjoyed your birthday party, Uncle Joe!

Krazy Kat

Here are some pictures of my silly little girl. She doesn't even try to be funny. She's just living her life how she wants to live it.
 Posing with the mermaid.
You never know when the roof is going to start leaking so it's good to always be prepared.
In her corner. No one else is allowed in her couch corner.
 Just being silly.
 Fancy necklace.
Mack's not sure if she's going to kiss him or head butt him. It's hard to tell with her.
Because she "likes for her flip flops to flop."
She wore her plastic heels to the pool "because they're shoes too."
This is her outfit for just hanging out around the house.
She tones her look down for trips out. Just the yellow hair at Lowe's. She danced up and down the aisles.
In her defense it was a really hot day. She wore her bathing suit to soccer practice.
This is how she used to spend her time at Nate's baseball games.
She's the girliest little girl, but she's not afraid to get dirty.
Mack borrowing the princess' chair to look out the window.

Happy Father's Day

First, I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to my own dad!

Steve was gone over Father's Day, so the kids gave him his gift before he left for Minnesota.
They get him a shirt with their picture on it every year.

Rainy Day

We took Mack to get groomed one rainy day and as we pulled up to the groomers Kathryn noticed a giant puddle. She and Nate desperately wanted to jump in that puddle. How can I deny children the fun of jumping in a giant rain puddle? Lucky for everyone, they already had swim clothes on. They expect to have some sort of water fun everyday so they wake up and get their trunks and bathing suit on.

This is what Mack looks like all cleaned up and trimmed.
Here is proof that he actually does have a face and eyes. Too bad his fur grows so fast and he likes to roll in filth every chance he gets. He has the potential to be a cute, little dog.

Ballet, Tap & Jazz Dancer

Kathryn started a dance class a couple weeks ago. She's been waiting her whole life for a real dance class. She was born to dance.

Jazz is her favorite. She couldn't wait to start dancing.

Here she is working on a split.

Pop Party

Nate and I are always putting our heads together to come up with party ideas. As far as he's concerned we have parties all the time. It doesn't matter they take very little effort!

Here is Nate and Kathryn at the much anticipated "pop party." We talked about this one for about two weeks to make sure the hype was there. He loves drinking pop, but his daddy usually forbids it so he has to get his fill when he's in the care of Paw-Paw and Lady. Daddy can't argue when we plan a big pop party though. Here are Nate and Kate enjoying their pop variety.

Crash Pad

Nate got a new mattress for his bed so I moved his old one out to the hallway upstairs with the intention of dragging it downstairs. That was instant fun. They would get a running start from the guest bedroom and hurl themselves at it.
After seeing how much fun the mattress was I decided to keep for a little while longer to let the kids jump and play on it before we get rid of it. Here they are bouncing off my bed and on to the mattress on the floor.
Even Mack likes playing on the mattress.

Chaotic Childcare

Steve and I were enlisted to take care of our friends' daughters when it was time for her to have her baby. Of course, Steve managed to pick up pink eye the same morning their girls came over so he stayed separate. It was me with a houseful of children all day and overnight. I think it went pretty well. At least the kids had fun!

And that's the only picture I had time to take!

Last Day of Kindergarten!

It seems like just yesterday I was crying about my baby boy heading off to kindergarten, now I can't believe I have a first grader! He had such a good year and we were so lucky to have such a great kindergarten teacher.

Miss Sims started the morning off with a slideshow and invited the parents. It was so sweet. The funny part was that Kathryn made it into about three of the pictures. No wonder she thinks she is ready for kindergarten. She's spent plenty of time around Nate's class!

This is home Nate.
 This is school Nate.
Kathryn posing with Nate again.
Just like she did on his first day of school.
Let the summer fun begin!!!

Not only does Kathryn enjoy wearing bathing suits, but now she's into drawing them.

Kindergarten Field Day

Nate participated in his very first field day. It was so much fun and so cute.
They started out with blacktop activities. They had to stack each set of three cans into a pyramid type shape then run back and stack them back together for the next person.
Waiting in line to throw the frisbee at the target.
 Nice aim, Nate Dogg!
Those long toes come in handy on field day! Picking marbles up out of the water with his toes!
 Proud little sister.
She couldn't wait to run up and hug him.
Next up, jumping rope. He became a pro at it after Jump Rope for Heart.
 Scooter relay.
Beach set up relay race. Only in Florida!
 Hula hooping.
 Bouncing ball relay.
 Sack race.
 Pause for a class picture.
 Silly class picture.
The class huddling together before the big tug of war competition.
Nate is in the green hat.
 This little girl loves Nate.
Field day was such a big deal even Mr. Norm, Ms. Shelly and Ray-Ray came out to watch.
 Nate and some friends.
After they won the first round of tug of war, they had to play again.
Lucky we had Cruise in our class. He's on end and that's his mom the body builder/trainer cheering him on. Whatever works! His class was the kindergarten champions for 2013!
 Time to rehydrate.
Another relay race.
 Kathryn still hanging in there.
Miss Sims' class was presented with the tug of war trophy.
Check out all these muscles!
Cool down with popsicles. Of course, Kathryn joins in and pretends like she's a kindergartener too. Unfortunately for her she still has two more years of preschool.
Nate's proud of his tug of war victory. Not only was it a great field day, but it has been a great year of school as well!
