This One's for You, Daddy

Steve headed to Minnesota for a week so this picture is for him to look at when he misses Kathryn. Yeah, right. But I did think he would like to see the picture of her in Nathan's hand-me-down Vikings jammies playing with a bunch of Steve's hand-me-down bouncy balls. (Those balls are from Steve's childhood. He refuses to get rid of anything that has ever come into his possession.)

Pensacola Visit #1

Nate Dogg and Kitty Kat sure are enjoying having Jessica just an hour and fifteen minutes away. We spent the night with them one night while we had our squirrel in the attic situation taken care of. It was on this visit that Nathan and Jessica realized how much fun it could be to team up againtst poor little Kathryn.
Then of course there is Uncle Joe. Nathan has always had admiration for Uncle Joe, even when they didn't live close. It's kind of getting out of control now. He asks if we can go to Pensacola just about every day now. Nathan's reason: "We really need to go to Uncle Joe's house because he is really missing me right now."
It's Nathan's goal to climb to the top of the dome and Uncle Joe makes sure Nathan doesn't chicken out.
Nathan drops down and swings back and forth. I'm glad I'm not there with him while Uncle Joe is making Nathan face his fears. I remember what it was like having Joe pressure me to do stuff I was scared to do. Remember making me and all the neighborhood kids jump off our deck? Our second floor deck?
Add story time to the day and this is why Nathan asks to visit Uncle Joe on a daily basis.
Jessica and Nathan have formed a bond over being mean to poor Kathryn. Little does Jessica know that she's about to be replaced as baby cousin. Come November, she's going to suffer in the middle right along with Kathryn.

Florida for Life

Arriving at our new house for the first time for good.
We all love Florida for different reasons. Kathryn loves it for its sand.
Of course, she had to have a taste.
It was an exhausting day for us all. I wish I could have just passed out on the kitchen floor the day the movers were here too. I put her down so that I could unpack boxes and the next thing I see is her sleeping on the floor.
Nathan rode his bike around his new driveway while I unpacked boxes.
We camped out on the floor the first couple of nights before our furniture arrived. It was actually fun sleeping on the floor with Nate and Kate. They looked so cute sprawled out all over the floor throughout the night.
If I didn't know better, I would think they were sweet just by looking at this picture.
Getting settled in.
We have frogs stuck all over our house at night.
Here is one room I'll share with you so far. Kathryn's room. She finally has a room big enough for all her toys.
Maybe one of these days I'll catch up on all the excitement we've been having. We've been to Pensacola twice to visit New School Haggertys, once for an air show and all the Haggertys came to our house one weekend. I have so much blog material I need to publish so stay tuned. Don't give up on me!

Sweet Home Alabama No More

I was just going to take the kids to the pool while the movers were at our house. That plan didn't work out because it rained all day long. We were stuck playing in the garage and driveway while the movers were at our house all day long doing a lot of waiting for the rain to let up.

I had to drive Kathryn around to make her fall asleep because she didn't have a place to sleep in the house. Then I had to sit in the car with her while she slept.
This move has been very annoying and difficult, but now we're here and it has all been worth it! We love Florida and I especially love our new house. I'll love it even more once we get it completely put together.

Last Few Days in Montgomery

Here are some pictures from our last few days in Montgomery. We hit up the pool a few more times before we left Montgomery.
We'll miss having a splash park in Florida, but I'm sure having a beach will help us get over it.
Kathryn is smart these days. She knows the playground is right next to the pool. She wouldn't let us just make a trip to the pool without stopping by the playground to "side."
I subbed three days at the kids' school before we moved. They got to come along. They don't offer summer school for Kathryn's age, so she got to hang out in the big kid classroom all day. She didn't mind a bit. She thinks she's a big girl so she fit right in.
Nathan enjoyed hanging out at school a few more times too.

Happy Father's Day!

It's better late than never. I'm finally posting pictures from Father's Day. Nathan and Kathryn surprised their daddy with another thoughtful t-shirt.
Every year Steve gets a t-shirt with a picture of him with the kids. Then he goes out and buys himself something he really wants.

Pictures from Georgia

I found these pictures uploaded to the blog, but I don't know if I ever shared them. I don't even have the energy to go back and look for myself. These are some pictures from when Nathan and Kathryn moved in with Paw-Paw and Lady for two weeks. I think it's appropriate to add Georgia to their list of states they have lived in!
