Then of course there is Uncle Joe. Nathan has always had admiration for Uncle Joe, even when they didn't live close. It's kind of getting out of control now. He asks if we can go to Pensacola just about every day now. Nathan's reason: "We really need to go to Uncle Joe's house because he is really missing me right now."
It's Nathan's goal to climb to the top of the dome and Uncle Joe makes sure Nathan doesn't chicken out.
Nathan drops down and swings back and forth. I'm glad I'm not there with him while Uncle Joe is making Nathan face his fears. I remember what it was like having Joe pressure me to do stuff I was scared to do. Remember making me and all the neighborhood kids jump off our deck? Our second floor deck?
Add story time to the day and this is why Nathan asks to visit Uncle Joe on a daily basis.
Jessica and Nathan have formed a bond over being mean to poor Kathryn. Little does Jessica know that she's about to be replaced as baby cousin. Come November, she's going to suffer in the middle right along with Kathryn.

I can just picture Lady and PawPaw's envy that we're having all this fun down on the coast. Many more blogs like this and you may have them as neighbors.
ReplyDeleteI just realized the eery parallel...the oldest cousin is a boy, followed by the two middle girls (poor neglected little angels), and then the baby girl bringing up the rear. Oh K & J, your mom and I feel your pain! Ha ha!
