Nathan's Knowledge

Nathan has been full of funny comments lately. Here are some that come to mind.

Kathryn was crying and whining in the car one day and Nathan comforted her by saying, "You're a pretty girl, Kathryn. There's no reason to cry." There you have it. As long as you're pretty you have no reason to cry.

I asked Nathan how he got to be so cute and he had a response this time. "Some people just made me like this. They just made me beautiful." I asked him who and he responded with, "Those people at the hospital."

We were with Aunt Lexi one day before her doctor visit and she was listening to the baby's heartbeat at home. Nathan was watching and you could tell he was thinking. He said, "I wonder if Aunt Lexi ate a baby to get a baby in her tummy." Then on the way home he was still thinking about Lexi having a baby in her tummy. He asked me if her baby was in her tummy with all her chewed up food.

Nathan asked for McDonald's in the car one day. I told him no because he just had it the night before and he didn't eat it. But I said it in a mean way. Nathan responded with, "Mommy, just state your problem. Don't say all those other words."

Nathan was getting in trouble one day for being bossy. I told him he's not the boss. Then he responded with, "You're not the boss either. Paw-Paw is the boss." He thinks Paw-Paw runs everything.

Nathan won't stop talking about one other house we looked at and keeps asking if we can buy it too. I explained to him that we don't have enough money to buy two houses. Then I explained to him how people go to jobs to make money. He wants to do work for money now too. It started out as a pretend game working for pretend money, but that got old quickly. He wants to go to a real job to make real money. He thinks you just have to go somewhere and hang out all day and they'll pay you. Can you tell his experience with going to jobs has been with Daddy? He needs to join the Air Force.
