My Mother's Day started off nicely. Steve got up with Nathan this morning and let me sleep until 9 a.m. Shortly after I got up it was time for Nathan to go back down for a nap. Isn't it funny that mothers like to celebrate Mother's Day by not having to deal with their kids? Some people might look at these pictures and wonder why I wouldn't want to hang out with Nathan on Mother's Day, of all days. He looks so sweet and fun. He is sweet and fun and energetic and curious which makes for one really exhausting day!
I was washing the sheets and Nathan found the pillow shams on the floor. I looked over and he had the shams over his face just waiting for me to notice and ask, "Where's Nathan?" I did and he uncovered his face with excitement. He loves that game. You can also see his gigantic new top tooth on its way in. Now he has 3 teeth.
By Rapid City standards, we had a nice day today. I guess all of my complaining about bad weather paid off. Maybe I should complain more often. Steve is probably wondering if that's even possible.
Nathan finally got to play outside. Today we took a walk downtown and Nathan got to cruise around in his little red sports coupe and check out the ladies. Seriously. There are 2 little girls down the street that think he is absolutely wonderful.
Nathan also got to run around the backyard. He always seemed to fall in the mud though. Our yard is half dirt so I guess it's to be expected. The other half is weeds, but TruGreen is taking care of that. I had to step in and ruin his fun when he tried to eat the dirt. He was pretty filthy. I stripped him down in the backyard and carried him to the bathtub. I'll add pictures later. My wireless signal is really weak and it's taking too long to upload pictures now. Sorry, but don't worry [Mother] I'll add them tomorrow.
