Play for a Day

Nathan has learned a lot in his three years of life. One of those things being how to work Paw-Paw. They were Skyping one day and it came time to say good-bye, when Nathan got a sad face and didn't want to hang up. Paw-Paw offered to come to his house to play with him one day and Nathan quickly jumped at the idea. Paw-Paw showed up around 10 a.m. yesterday to begin his promised play date. Nathan had big plans for their day together. They did all of Nathan's favorite things including: reading the CAT book and making up their own stories, playing frisbee, jumping on the trampoline, building a "tall tower" and jumping off on the bed, playing with airplanes and cars, watching movies and we even went to McDonald's for a picnic in the back of the truck. (Eating food and hanging out in the back of a truck in one of the coolest things you can do, in Nathan's opinion. He's going to be and excellent tailgater.)
Of course, Mace was invited to the picnic.

Paw-Paw said he was going to leave around 4 p.m., but that didn't happen. He started to tell Nathan that it was time for him to leave, so Nathan listed off a bunch of other stuff that they needed to do again, or didn't get a chance to do. Paw-Paw ended up leaving at 5:30 p.m. Nathan knows how to buy time, that's for sure.

Actually, I'm not real sure who this play date was really for.... Paw-Paw or Nathan and Kathryn.
