October has been very busy for us. We've been running a bed and breakfast with guests galore (every weekend) and hopping around from one place to the next. We went to the fair and enjoyed some food and rides. Nathan ate his first corndog. He's a very picky eater, so I get excited anytime I find a new food that he'll eat.
Steve and Nathan rode this train a couple of times. A corndog and two train rides then we were broke and had to go home.
We started celebrating Halloween with a trip to the Montgomery Zoo for ZooBoo. Kathryn and I watched as Nathan played some games. After he finished winning candy and prizes, we took a hayride around the zoo.
Paw-Paw and Lady took Nathan and Kathryn to the pumpkin patch.
Nathan didn't want his picture taken because he had other things on his mind... the playground.
While we were at Paw-Paw and Lady's house, Kathryn discovered how much she likes looking at her beautiful self.
We celebrated Lady's birthday while we were in Georgia. Lady doesn't usually like celebrating birthdays, but she knows how much Nathan loves frosting so she got a cake.
She asked for extra flowers on the corners because the frosting is the only part Nathan eats.
We celebrated Cousin Emma's birthday while we were back too. Kathryn helped us wrap her presents.
This explains why my wrap job looked like it did.
Nathan was busy with a prior engagement, but Lady, Kathryn and I got to attend her party.
Kathryn hung out with Great Grandma Gerken some while we were there.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of other stuff that went on in October, but I'll post more as I think of it, or as I get time.
Kathryn enjoyed the wrapping paper as much as Emma enjoyed the gifts. Lady
ReplyDeleteI hope you got a discount on the cake. Two of the corners were missing.
ReplyDeleteKathryn did an excellent job wrapping Emma's present! Are you hiring her out for Christmas gift wrapping?
