The kids and I drove up to Georgia on my birthday. We left at 6 a.m. because Nate wanted to get there early. Nate always wants to get there early and stay as long as he possibly can. Lady made an entirely vegetarian dinner for me. I'm not vegetarian, but eating all vegetables is a rare opportunity for me considering Steve refuses to eat vegetables and Nate only eats raw broccoli with dip. Kathryn is pretty good about eating vegetables, but I just buy her veggie trays to share with Nate.
Kathryn was so upset she was almost in tears when she realized it really was my birthday, but she didn't have a gift to give me. She said with distress, "It can't really be Mommy's birthday! I don't have a present!" Luckily, Paw-Paw came to the rescue and gave her this picture to give to me "from her." She was all smiles and so proud of herself for getting me something that I love so much. It's a picture of three dogs symbolizing Mace, Hank and Mack. Paw-Paw knows I love my dogs.
