Nathan's Christmas spirit is filling the house with lots of excitement and joy. Nathan doesn't realize it, but he sings Christmas songs all day long while he's playing. His class is working on a few Christmas songs to sing for parents on the last day of school. Funny story associated with that. A few days ago I asked Lady if she could come to my house a day earlier than planned. She said she didn't have anymore days off from work for the year. Then I was telling her about Nathan singing a song at school and she mentioned driving in for the day to watch Nathan's class sing. The party is on a weekday, so I reminded her that she told me she couldn't get anymore days off work. Busted. Lady can make time for a grandchild's Christmas program, but she can't make time to babysit for me to get a facial. I made him sing Away in a Manger for me, but he started acting silly. Like I've said before, he thinks he's hilarious.
The paper that Steve has been working on for the past two weeks was due yesterday, so we decided to celebrate. What better way to celebrate than a trip to Applebee's? Kathryn started getting fussy before her mac and cheese came, so Steve gave her a lemon. We thought this was going to be funny so I got a video of it, but it turns out she likes sucking on lemons.
The best part about our dinner was sitting in the bar area right under a speaker. Or I guess I should say that was the best part of Kathryn's night out. Throughout the entire meal, songs would catch Kathryn's attention and she would just start breaking it down right there in the high chair.
She was entertainment for everyone around us.
There you have it. Another exciting evening with the Meissners.
Another great blog. Nathan and Kathryn are quite entertaining. Lady
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for the day Lexi authorizes me to feed Jessica a lemon. I hope she makes more of a face than Kathryn.
