"Sister" and I attended a baby shower today where we were showered with lots of gifts. Lots of pink! When I got home, Nathan saw me carrying the balloons in the house and he went nuts. He grabbed them and started running all over the house and yelling, "I got balloons! I got balloons!" Maybe this whole baby sister thing isn't as bad as he originally thought it would be.
He also had a good time digging through the bags and building a fort around himself.
While I was at the shower, Steve and Nathan spent the day together. I bet I was only home for five minutes before Steve mentioned that he needed to go to Menard's. Here is Nathan yelling, "Daddy, come back!" as he watched Steve make a break for it.
Here is the TV situation. Per my "request," we've just been storing the TV. Steve just couldn't take it anymore, so he went out and got a new TV stand and was determined to swap out the 27 inch dinosaur with the flat screen. (I bet the fact that Nathan took over Steve's TV and only allows Nick Jr. to play on it has a little something to do with Steve's need for the new TV.) He ran into a snafu and decided that TV stands aren't really necessary. All you have to do is plug the TV in and you're good to go. This is actually the main reason why I said not to mess with the TV until later. As long as Steve has a couch to sit on and a TV to watch, the rest of the room doesn't make any difference. This is probably what I'm going to be griping about for the next couple of weeks. So Mom, you wanted to see the new TV setup. Here it is.
