Steve's brother, sister-in-law, and nephew Karl made a getaway between snow storms in Minnesota and headed down to Florida for some much needed thawing out. First things first...the beach.

Second best thing to do here, sit in Nate's room and play video games for hours and hours and hours at a time.
Day and night.
They didn't just play Wii. They played their DSs, iPods, and iPads too.
Kathryn liked hanging out with Aunt Deborah. They discussed topics such as how pretty the color pink is and other girly stuff Kathryn is into.
Aunt Deborah painted Kathryn's nails for her. That is a definite way to Kathryn's heart.
Lazy day at home with the water slide.
I don't understand why the Minnesota kid is the one cold and wrapped up in a towel!
Karl is surrounded by crazy cousins.
After water play they decided it was time to run up and down the sidewalk.
Kathryn has the best form when she runs.
Every movement is over exaggerated which creates such a cute spectacle.
Unfortunately, I think she learned her running technique from me. I don't think it's quite as cute on me though.
The Meissner boys (minus Nate) were feeling adventurous so we went to Baytowne Wharf for zip lining.

Aunt Deborah had to go shopping for souvenirs for the rest of the Minnesota Meissners. We stopped in a beach store and Kathryn found a beer bong. Perfect for Oma.
Couldn't leave Destin Commons without a quick run through the splash pad.

That was a great blog and videos! Looks like Nathan and Kathryn had a great week with Matthew, Deborah and Karl. Kathryn is such a funny little girl.

Cousins are great! We really miss Nate and Kate. I am curious to see how the dynamic is now that the kids are all a little older.
