I'll have to keep Great Grandma Gerken away from the internet until after Christmas so that her surprise isn't spoiled.
Opa might appreciate this story. As we were driving to the pottery place this morning, I told Nathan that we were going to go see Emma. He must have heard wrong and thought I said Oma and then just figured Opa would be there, too. He blabbed about Opa the whole way there. I corrected him and told him we were going to see Cousin Emma, but he had his mind set on seeing Opa. Once he saw Emma he forgot about Opa (for the time being) and concentrated on the pottery project. After we finished up at the pottery place, I put him back in the car and he started talking about Opa again. Finally, he realized we were close to home so he started talking about "Base" and "Hunt" (Mace and Hank). Good thing, or else Opa was going to have to jump on the next flight to Atlanta.

Here's a suggestion to Joseph and Laura. You might want to paint some pottery for Grandma Gerken if you want to stay in the competition.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too worried...it'll take more than pottery to bring us down a notch!
ReplyDeleteWe middle kids gave up on the "favorites" competition a long time ago! Dipping potato chips in catalina dressing and putting salt & pepper in peoples' drinks is so much more fun...
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Megan. Glad one of us can remember to bring their camera!
