Christmas Eve Eve

Finally! Steve broke down and let Nathan open one present last night. Nathan even helped rip the paper open this year. He would have done it all by himself, but it was taking way too long. This is the first time he's received gifts and understood that if he rips the paper open, he gets a surprise. It was so much fun watching as he got so excited. He got a new power drill. Steve got his out to show him that they both have one. Nathan thought that was way cool. He played with the drill for the entire rest of the night and wanted to sleep with it. I put it by his bed and I heard him playing with it in his bed first thing this morning.
He was checking everything out on it.
This is what you get when you ask him to smile for the camera.
I'm so excited to get to watch Nathan open the rest of his gifts. We're going to open them tonight in case it becomes another two day process, like last year. He had so many gifts that we all got bored with opening them so we had to finish on Christmas morning. I know, it's hard imagining that happening while at Paw-Paw and Lady's house. Steve and I are almost as bad though. We both decided that we can't help it because he gets so excited and is so appreciative of everything he gets, whether it's a new Pez dispenser or a $100 toy. It's so sweet.

  1. Nathan is learning to smile like his Mommy and Uncle Joe.
