Here is a little game that Nathan and Kathryn made up. During Nathan's nightly hour long + baths, he lines water-filled cups up along the bathtub. Baby Sister unknowingly kicks them over and splashes water all over him.

School Days
Here is a typical school day for Nathan. He eats a sliced banana on the way to school.
When I showed up to get Nathan, she saw me before he did and came up to me and told the teacher, "That's Nathan's mommy." I guess kids are listening when Nathan makes the announcement of his mommy's arrival.
On the drive home, he always says, "Mommy, I must be getting hungry." He comes home lists off a ton of food that he wants to eat for lunch.
Kathryn waits patiently for him to be done with school so, of course, he makes time for his biggest fan.
Since starting school, Nathan's imaginative play has really blossomed. He comes up to me and tells me a whole list of places he's going and that he'll see me later. You can see the game going on in his head. He told me he had to go to the grocery store to get some food, then to McDonald's, then to Arby's, then to Taco John's. (Hmmm, maybe that explains why I need to go on a diet.) I asked him if he was getting some food for me, he responded with, "No. I'm not getting food for you, Mommy. I'm getting food for Cameron." I always knew I would lose my top spot in his heart, but I didn't know it would be so soon. When I show up at the playground to pick him up each day, he points and proudly announces to everyone around him, "That's my mommy!" I guess I should enjoy that while it lasts because I know one day soon he's going to be embarrassed just by my very existence.

OMG
Steve has been gone off an on for the past week and it's not stopping for a few more days. He went to Arizona, he's in Louisiana now, and he's going to Texas in a couple of days. He thinks he's the only one partying. Wrong! Nathan, Kathryn and I have been partying nonstop since he left. Nathan discovered the song, OMG, and fell in love. It's been nothing but a dance party here. I recorded a Top 20 countdown, so he asks to listen to "MOG" all day long. I have video of him singing the song and dancing, but once again, I can't upload it. I'll share it at a later date because it's absolutely hilarious.
Apparently, I was dancing too fast during the slower part of the song because Nathan corrected me and said, "Mommy you're dancing too fast. Dance slow like this." What would I do without him? Luckily he's around to guide me through the rest of my life.
More dance moves...
We can't forget about Baby Sister. She's a dancing fool, too. Nathan took a break from his hectic dancing schedule to show Baby Sister some love. She laughs hysterically as Nathan dances around the room. Me too.
And, a congratulations is in order for Baby Sister. She's rolling over back and forth now. Yay Kathryn!
This picture looks innocent enough, but give Baby Sister about five more minutes and she'll manage to roll her way over to Nathan's paper and crayons. It frustrates Nathan and he starts yelling at her, but she thinks anything and everything he does is hilarious, so she just starts giggling at him.
Here is some more top quality entertainment.
Nathan rolls off the top of the couch much to Baby Sister's delight. Entertaining a second kid is so much easier than the first.
Mommy's orders, as long as Baby Sister is laughing, do it again.

Track Star
Nathan's newest Charlie Brown movie is, You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown and his friends compete in a decathlon. After watching the movie 50 times, Nathan told Lady that he wanted to run track. Lady got his clothes off to take a bath, then he decided that he needed to run laps up and down the hall.
These pictures crack me up.

Nathan's First Field Trip
Last Friday, Nathan experienced his very first field trip. His class took a trip to Bear Country U.S.A. Lady was visiting, so I was able to go along without having to drag Kathryn around in the cold and wind.
Bear Country isn't open for the season yet, but they opened just for Nathan's class. It was nice having the entire park to ourselves.
Waiting patiently for the bear cubs to come out.
They got a short lesson on mammals from the bear trainers.
They were so cute and fuzzy.
The cubs reminded me of Baby Sister.
Nathan petting a baby bear.
None of the kids were real impressed with petting bears. I don't think they realized how big and mean this bear is going to be when it's grown.
Petting the bear with Cameron. FYI, Nathan has a thing for Cameron. Also, FYI, she's the cutest girl in school. Go Nathan!
Running around was more of a hit with the kids than actually looking at animals.
Nathan has long sleeves, pants, a jacket and a hat on and these kids are wearing shorts. Why would a mother let their kid out of the house in South Dakota in April in summer clothes? Probably the same reason why kids wear PJ's to school or walk around barefoot on the playground in the freezing cold at school. Because they want to.
The kids stopped to look at bears for about 2 minutes, then continued on with their playing.
