On the Go

After four fun-filled days, Lady had to go back home to Mace, Hank, Lily and Paw-Paw. Nathan wasn't at all happy about her having to leave. On the way to the airport he kept telling me to turn around and go back home. After we dropped her off, he yelled at me as we were driving away from the airport, "I don't want Lady to leave. Go back and get her!" Then he cried and moped around after we got home. I had to take him for a walk to take his mind off of the fact that Lady went back to Georgia. No wonder Nathan didn't want Lady to leave. She made sure his days were packed full of fun activities. After picking Nathan up from school on Thursday, we went to Chili's. Nathan LOVES Chili's. It just so happened that he dropped his cup of chocolate milk, which made for a great story for him to talk about for the rest of the day.
There he is cracking up about spilling his drink. He kept saying, "I spilled my drink like Paw-Paw!"
It's nice having Lady around because I actually get to eat my food without any disruptions. I'm usually feeding Kathryn a bottle, watching my food get cold.
On the way home, we stopped at Nathan's favorite cookie shop.
We also went bowling.
We all had to celebrate after each roll.
Baby Sister just watched.
Nathan is so sweet. I stopped to get gas and it was cold and super windy, so he took his hat off and wanted me to wear it while I pumped gas. As soon as I got back in the car, though, he made me take it off.
We also went to the Air and Space Museum.
I don't know how Lady managed to get out of visiting the museum after all of her visits here, but she had to go see airplanes this time. It was her first time there, so Nathan had to take her around to each airplane.
After Skyping with Paw-Paw one night, Nathan got the idea to go to the park to see that tree with a hole in it. He showed Lady the tree that's been the topic of so many conversations.
Then they played on the playground.
Sliding over and over... and over.
We had to go back the next day, too because we promised him if he left nicely the day before we would take him back.
And of course, they took many, many walks collecting sticks.
It may look like this visit was all about Nathan, but far from it. Lady treated Kathryn like a baby doll and carried her around with her everywhere she went. She just sat and held her for HOURS.
This is going to be fun, un-spoiling her.
She dressed her up in bows to match her outfits everyday.
Little girly girl.
When Lady comes to town, Steve and I are very hands off. We let (ha ha) her do everything for the kids.
Snuggling with Nathan after his bath.
Just snoozing away.
Lady and Kathryn got their fill of Charlie Brown. He got another Charlie Brown DVD.
Kathryn always likes to be part of the fun and excitement.
Kathryn was just hanging out with Lady.
Thanks for visiting us, Lady. We had lots and lots of fun! Congratulations on not making Nathan mad the entire time you were here. Not a who

  1. It was extra hard leaving yesterday, but like the blog said, it was time for me to come home to PawPaw, Hank, Mace and Lily. I had a wonderful time! Love, Lady
