Happy Easter!

This was how our Easter morning went.

I got Baby Sister all dressed up. That's always fun.
It must have been exhausting for her. Being beautiful is a lot of work.
Then we had grumpy Nathan. He hasn't worn short sleeves in a really long time. He kept trying to pull his sleeves down and complaining to me that his shirt was too small.

For being a good boy in church, he got to go look at trees.
It may not seem like a lot, but to Nathan, that's very exciting.
Nathan and Kathryn came home to find that the Easter bunny left them some Easter baskets full of candy and toys and other goodies for them. Actually, Nathan knew better because he found the baskets hidden in my closet a couple of weeks ago. He came to me holding some Pez that he pulled out of his and asked me to open them for him. I moved the baskets up a shelf, just out of his reach. He was glad to finally get his hands on those goodies.
Baby Sister is trying her best to hold the stuffed animal.
Posing with their ravaged Easter baskets.
He couldn't wait to get his hands on Baby Sister's Easter stash too. This is reminiscent of Joseph and Megan many, many years ago.
This is all Nathan left her with. Poor Baby Sister.
He thinks this will make up for stealing her stuff.
Here are a few brother and sister pictures. I thought they were all cute, so I'm sharing them all.

Nathan and Kathryn Skyped with Paw-Paw and Lady. Every time I put the camera solely on Kathryn, Nathan quickly said, "I want Paw-Paw and Lady to see me." Then he got off the couch, so I stuck Kathryn between the cushions to help her sit up. Nathan noticed and immediately rushed over and said that was his seat. He only cared because that was the seat closest to the computer. He was not about to let Baby Sister have the good seat and steal some of his attention.
I opened one of his bunnies and started eating it. I accidentally left it on the end table and he got ahold of it. He was filthy after holding that chocolate bunny in his hot little hands.
We hope everyone else had a great Easter too!

  2. Great pictures. Glad to see Kathryn is wearing her traditional white sweater. Nathan is quite the big brother. Looks like the Meissner children had a great Easter.

  4. Next year we'll have to add some custom made barrettes that will match Kathryn's Easter dress, just like her mommy had when she was little. Both children looked so cute yesterday. Love, Lady

  5. That a boy, Nate! Why eat you own candy when you can convince your little sister to give you hers?
