I asked Nathan if he wanted to color Easter eggs and he was excited to do so. He came in the kitchen with his box of crayons and said he was ready to "color Easter eggs." There is an Easter egg dying station in his classroom at school, but I guess he's been too busy drawing trees to notice.
He was very hands-on in the process, but no worries..... it's Uncle Joe's house, not mine.
He dyed them.
And dried 'em.
Cracked 'em.
And sliced 'em.And surprisingly, he ate them. It was a very quick Easter egg experience. I didn't expect to be eating egg salad this soon.
Then he realized that he could play the egg slicer like a harp.
There's N8's egg. I better explain to him that that's not really the way to spell his name.
Kathryn was asleep while all this fun was going on, but we didn't forget about her.

Enjoy not having to share the egg dye with anyone. Your mommy complained that Uncle Joe used to keep the eggs in the dye a real long time so the eggs would be extra dark. He made your mommy wait till he was finished and apparently I let this go on. Megan is releasing her hostilities now. She can really hold a grudge!
ReplyDeleteThat post makes me want to dye some eggs.
