Peachtree Road Race

We started our July 4th bright and early and headed down to Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race. Not to run, of course, but to hand out water with Aunt Ruth and her gang at HP. It's the world's largest 10k with 60,000 runners, so there's always a lot of excitement. Lady and I always enjoy it.
Miss USA.
Paw-Paw joined in the fun by participating as my children's babysitter. He was probably more exhausted than all 60,000 runners by the end of the morning.
Taking a break in the shade.
Kathryn slept right through the DJ van that was set up right beside us. I would give anything to be able to snuggle into a mobile bed anytime I felt like it and take a quick nap.
We grabbed a bite to eat at Steak 'n Shake on the way home.
Kathryn is no fun at restaurants now. She has grabby, little hands that can you drive you absolutely insane.
Nathan was thoroughly exhausted after his busy morning. He ran up and down our little stretch of Peachtree Street countless times. All that running caught up with him on the way home. Here he is snoozing in the car, complete with drool dripping out of his mouth.
Kathryn comes from a military family so she's extra patriotic. Here is her other July 4th outfit. I actually bought this one first, but then found the other one that I liked better. She wore this one on July 3rd.
This has nothing to do with the Fourth of July or the Peachtree Road Race, but I just wanted to post this picture because it's sweet. Lady and Nathan fell asleep together in the chair while we were at their house.

  1. I was thoroughly enjoying the blog till I got to the last picture, Megan Kathryn.
It was a pretty fun July 4th this year, that's for sure. Should I tell Aunt Ruth to sign us up for the Peachtree Road Race next year? Love, Lady
