Paw-Paw & Lady & the Tramp

On Friday we went to base to finish everything we needed to do to be official down here. Nathan and Kathryn were troopers through all of the running around from one office to another.
He's good at entertaining himself.
The only thing that kept Nathan going was the fact that Paw-Paw and Lady were going to be at his house later that day. When he saw and airplane he said, "I think Paw-Paw and Lady are on that plane." I had to remind him that they don't have to fly to our house anymore.

Of course I had to have water on the lens with the only picture I get of the two of them together.
It was so nice getting to watch from the side for once.
I was actually able to get some sun today. Every other day Kathryn is my SPF.
By three-year-old standards, Nathan had a pretty awesome weekend. In addition to hanging out with Paw-Paw and Lady, he got a trampoline. We were like the only house in the neighborhood without a trampoline, so we had to get Nathan one ASAP. I'm sure Paw-Paw wasn't thrilled to get to be the primary trampoline builder in the Alabama heat, but he did it anyway. Five gallons of Paw-Paw and Daddy sweat later, Nathan has his very own trampoline to jump on and wear himself out and hopefully start going to bed at a normal three-year-old time.
This is the only place that is bearable outside. Luckily we went with the 14 ft. one. This is where we're going to hold our backyard gatherings from now on.

I had to try it out first to make sure it was stable.
Then Lady had to give it a whirl. We can see into all the neighbors' backyards now. So much for the privacy fences.
Thanks for visiting, Lady and Paw-Paw. We'll see you again soon!

  1. You'll probably be having Aunt Lexi visit all the time now that you have a trampoline. She is always asking me to get one for her.

  2. That's funny. The trampoline is as much for me as it is for Nathan.

  3. Megan told me she wanted the trampoline as much for herself, as Nathan, because she thought she was the only one in the neighborhood who didn't have one when she was growing up. She was surely deprived. Lady

  4. Yay!!! I can't wait to jump on the trampoline... have a medic available because I am going to see if I can still do a flip like I use to when I was 14!

  5. Take my word for it. Trampoline tricks aren't as easy as they used to be.
