Nathan helped Paw-Paw load up the truck. While doing so, Nathan underwent an intense redneck training. Pickup truck. Check. Bud Light. Check. (I have to write a disclaimer. This picture was posed. No, Nathan and Paw-Paw weren't really riding around drinking and driving without their seatbelts on as Nathan hung his body out the window clutching a beer can.)
Once Mace joins us, Nathan's redneck life will be complete with a good ol' hound by his side.
We might have to buy a minivan to make room for Mace. I found a sweet one on craigslist, a 1988 Dodge Caravan. It doesn't have the fake wood on the side like I prefer, but I guess I can't have it all. I almost suffered from frostbite because I kept the car so cold for Mace. He's a little high-maintenance.
We checked out the McDonald's by our house, but we couldn't go in and eat because we had Mace with us. That was completely fine with Nathan because he has developed a love for tailgating.
Here is our home sweet home for the next year.
It didn't take Mace long to figure out Nathan's trouble pushing his Push-Up up. It never fails that Nathan pushes it a little bit too hard after it's all melty and it goes everywhere. Push-Up #4.
Front yard picnic.
Nathan likes when Mace chases him and tries to get his food
I think it's about time for Paw-Paw to park the Crown Vic and save it for Nathan for his 16th birthday. I think that would be the perfect first car. Then when Nathan complains about having to drive it, I'll show him this video. After all, the Crown Vic is a sweet ride.
Hope you're getting settled in nicely! I second the Crown Vic idea for Nathan :)
ReplyDeleteWow, your new home looks like a slight upgrade to the South Dakota one. However, I'm not seeing and exclusive detached garage and a storage shed.
ReplyDeleteWe would love to have that garage and storage shed. This house doesn't have any storage or closet space.
ReplyDeleteOur house will be very quiet after Sunday. PawPaw and I are going on a vacation together since Mace is going to live with Megan. Can you believe it? I hope Steve realizes Mace isn't your average dog. Love, Lady
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe Mace won't be there when we go to visit Lady and Paw Paw but I am sure that he and Nathan are going to have a blast together.
