Nathan and Kathryn were so excited to have Jessica at their house. They were happy to see Uncle Joe and Aunt Lexi too, but they can't compete with a new baby!
Jessica was completely entertained when TorNATEo and HurriKATE (they can do a number on a house in a matter of seconds) entered the room. They sure know how to get some excitement going. This was Jessica's face for most of the visit.
Cute little cousins.
Hanging out in the backyard.
I wonder if Nathan will ever go back to just smiling for pictures.
It looks like Uncle Joe had his hands full.
Paw-Paw would stand on his head and feed Kathryn if that's what she wanted. He is completely under that little diva's spell now too. Look at her being fed while she clutches her hairbrush.
When Uncle Joe and Paw-Paw asked Nathan if he wanted to go downtown to look at the capit0l with them he responded with, "Downtown Atlanta, Georgia?"
Uncle Joe is on a mission to visit every state capitol building in the United States. (I can't remember what number he's at now.) Paw-Paw joined him on this mission after he retired. They have both been to Montgomery, but they decided to let Nathan in on all the fun. Anyone who thinks a three-year-old wouldn't enjoy something like that does not know Nathan.
Sitting on the capitol steps with his picture face.
Inside the capitol with his picture face.
Admiring the architecture.
This is what he was looking at.
He took the opportunity to "visit" almost every state. He knows quite a bit of facts about each state. He loves to share his knowledge of states with anyone who will listen.
Nathan labels each room in our house as a state, then he flies his airplanes from room to room telling me where he's at. These state markers are perfect for him. He tells me, "One time Paw-Paw saw alligators in Louisiana, so if we go there, we have to stay inside."
His favorite state at the moment is Maine. It might have something to do with Uncle Joe and Paw-Paw visiting there recently and telling Nathan all about it. He knows everything there is to know about Maine. "Maine has tall towers called lighthouses and Uncle Joe ate lobster there."
I wonder how annoyed Uncle Joe got when Nathan sat down at all those states.
"South Carolina has a coast. Paw-Paw's beach house is there." (Nathan thinks the condo he stayed at with them is actually Paw-Paw's.)
"Tennessee: Mommy's favorite state and the Great Smoky Mountains."
"Wyoming: Where we saw bison."
He was worn out after running up and down all those capit0l steps.

One day at school a little girl had on a cute little jumper that her grandmother made her. All the teachers were carrying on about how cute it was and I thought to myself, my mom can do that. So I called Lady and placed my order for a Thanksgiving jumper.
While I was at it, I placed an order for Jessica too. Here they are trying on the dresses to make sure they fit before Lady finishes them up.It looks like Uncle Joe had his hands full.
