Let the fighting begin! Nathan has had just about all he can take of Baby Sister constantly wanting his toys, wanting his food, wanting his juice box, pretty much wanting everything Nathan has at each moment. Last week when Nathan was sick I told him we were going to the doctor. His response was, "Can we go to the hospital instead?" I asked him why. He responded with, "Then can we take Baby Sister back to the hospital and get a new baby? A good baby. A baby like Baby Jesus. He's a good baby." Then one night I took the kids out to run some errands while Steve worked on a paper. Kathryn was tired and cranky and Nathan asked if we could take Baby Sister back. I thought he meant take her back home, but when I didn't understand what he meant he made sure to clarify for me. "No, I mean take Baby Sister back to the hospital in South Dakota." This is just the beginning. This should be interesting.
Even after all of Nathan's proposals to return or exchange Baby Sister, he's not quite convincing enough. Here you can see why.
Sitting in her hot pink tent, in hot pink pants, looking through a hot pink book.
There is definitely no shortage of hot pink within those four walls.
Doing her exercises. Warmer weather is almost here.
This is the kind of stuff that gets on Nathan's nerves. She's sitting in his dinosaur box.
Nathan and Paw-Paw played the shape game nonstop last time they were together. Lady heard all about it, but she didn't know what they were talking about. This is the shape game. Nathan got this game for Christmas from his cousins Aly and Emily and it has kept him busy for hours. I mean hours and hours and hours.
Just imagine trying to play this game with Kathryn's grunting and grabby hands all over. Now you can see why he's trying to find her a new home.
To show Nathan how proud I am of him, I take pictures of his creations.
Every time Nathan pulls this game out he says, "Aly and Emily got me this."
Turn your back on Kathryn for two seconds and she'll be into something.
I spent most of Sunday out with the kids so that Steve could have some peace and quiet to work on his paper. Is anyone noticing a trend here? We grabbed some lunch at Waffle House, Kathryn's favorite restaurant. I don't know which she likes better, the food or the atmosphere. She's a nosy little girl.
Nathan likes watching the cooks.
There you go, Lady. Everyone can thank Lady for this post. She's back to nagging about the blog. I'll even throw in a picture of our friends' baby for her. She's been asking about Reagan too. She made her blog debut a couple months back. Here she is sleeping in Kathryn's fuzzy pink basket.
