We ventured down to Centennial Olympic Park today to check out what kind of playgrounds they offered for our playground enthusiest. I made the mistake of telling Nathan that we were going to play on a playground, so that's all he could think about.
He wasn't interested in the water fountain rings, but he showed a little bit of fake enthusiasm to be polite.
On the way to the park, we saw a car with a license plate that said, "SISTA." It instantly hit me what Kathryn's license plate on her first car is going to read. Nevermind the fact that Kathryn didn't resemble the lady driving the car in any way, she's a "sista" none-the-less. That's what Nathan and I call her anyway.
Nathan had to wait for us to finish our Italian ices, but his patience was rewarded with a whole new playground to explore.
This wasn't your typical slide. It rolled you down, and it didn't roll you down slowly. Take my word for it. I had to try it out myself.
Nathan did some rock climbing.
We all worked up an appetite so as we were walking back to the car we noticed the CNN food court, so we stopped in for a late afternoon snack. Nathan stuffed half of the top of his bun of his sandwich in his mouth.
Lady and Kathryn.
Paw-Paw and Kathryn. We played pass the baby around the table while we took turns eating. Lucky for me, it was never my turn.
Kathryn was so hungry on the way home she tried to eat her foot.
As disgusting as they might be, prunes are one of "Sista's" fave meals now.
Wow, Nathan is building up quite playground resume. He may have a future in playground design.
ReplyDeleteTotal chubfest. I LOVE chubby babies. You should send a picture in to Chelsea Handler, Kathryn would definitely make the chubby baby cut!
