Reading is Fun

I used to read to Nathan when he was too young to run away or ignore me, but then once he got old enough to move around he didn't want to have anything to do with books. He's making up for all those months of no reading. We read the same four books over and over today. It's no exaggeration to say that we read each book at least 15-20 times. That's not including the times Steve read to him. Every time I turned around Nathan was holding a book up. To maintain my sanity, we took a trip to Borders to get some new ones. Sure enough, he saw the "DOG" book and whined until I sat down and read it to him.....several times. He loves books with flaps, pop-outs, and touch and feel. We went all out and got a book that has all those features plus makes all the animal noises he hears at Old MacDonald's Farm. That's for those rare days that he doesn't get to hear it in real life.

This is his favorite page. You lift the flap and there's a cat in the tree. Lots of laughs.
I bet Aunt Tanya didn't expect the book to be this much of a hit.
Cute after nap pictures.
Where in the world did he get those dimples? :)
The second his feet hit the ground he took off and grabbed a book. This whole reading thing is getting out of hand. I need to introduce him to television.
Mmm mmm mmm, fried chicken.

Nathan has a pretty big weekend ahead of him. You'll have to stay tuned to find out what all his weekend activities include! I know, the suspense is killing you, but you'll just have to wait!

  1. The dimples are from his mommy! And since he likes reading so much, tell Steve to introduce Math to him so he can figure out our tip at all of our luncheons!!!

  2. Where did Nathan get that good looking outfit? Looks like someone in Atlanta would wear it.
