Opinions Welcome... Just This Once
Growing up, I was the only one of my friends to actually call my grandparents Grandma and Grandpa. All of my friends had Mamaws and Papaws. I was determined to make Nathan have a Grandma and a Grandpa because I just always thought that was the way to go. We've been calling my parents Grandma and Grandpa to Nathan, but he is bound and determined to call them Mamaw and Papaw. I can't decide whether I want to continue my push for Grandma and Grandpa or just jump on the Mamaw and Papaw bandwagon.

Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Nathan and I enjoyed ours. Steve called so Nathan was able to "talk" to him. I put Steve on speaker phone so Nathan could hear him, then Nathan responded by licking the phone and running off. Then Steve got to hear as Nathan sang a song and played on the keyboard. Nathan made up a song to the tune of the alphabet. He replaced the letters of the alphabet with the word "mom" and sings it over and over. He was definitely the entertainment (and by entertainment, I really mean show off) during our Thanksgiving feast.
Mace's strategy worked out exactly as planned. You guessed it, that was Nathan's chair.
After we ate, Nathan and Great Grandma discussed tractors. Then, thanks to the tryptophan, Nathan went down for a nap....and so did I.
This is funny. Nathan found this Christmas present before it was wrapped. I heard him in the bedroom trying to get the plastic wrap off. He wouldn't take no for an answer. Not that I really tried that hard. We play with bells in gym class (his class is called the Beasts), so now we play with the bells and sing our "Super Beast" song at home. It's great fun.

Class Act
Grandpa joined us for gym class on Wednesday. He got to witness first hand what goes down on Wednesday mornings. As I watched some of the videos Grandpa took, I could hear him cracking up in the background as he watched Nathan. It is pretty comical. There were only five kids in class. He has a buddy named Nathan that he usually hangs out with, but he went away for Thanksgiving so he wasn't there. Too bad because it's kind of cute to watch them together. The two Nathan's are usually off doing their own thing. The pictures are a little blurry because they were taken through the windows again.
Bubbles are a major high point of the class.

One Man Show
Grandpa found this 20+ year old keyboard in the basement. It looks and sounds like Nathan is going to be joining Opa in the piano tuning business. It's hard to believe all this talent just came naturally.

Bobble Trouble
Nathan's newest favorite "toys" are Grandpa's bobble heads. So far, he's only broken four of them. No other toy comes close to those bobble heads. He rearranges them constantly. He moves them from the table, to the floor, to the chair repeatedly and taps each head to make them all bobble at once. Then he imitates them. They are sports figures so he likes to point to the balls and say "bast" for basketball, "boot-bah" for football and "ah-key" for hockey. Good thing Grandpa works for a company that sponsors all of Atlanta's sports teams. If he didn't have those bobble heads, Nathan would be forced to play with the other hundred toys he has laying around.
The bobble head graveyard.
Broken bobble heads are absolutely devastating.
Everyone needs to rush out and buy lots of Philips electronics so that they can afford to continue providing Nathan with bobble heads. He averages about one casualty per day.
Since Nathan and Grandpa have been hanging out so much lately, they've picked up on each other's style.

What a Character
Grandpa and Nathan had a boys' morning out. Nathan likes to kick the weekend off with an exciting trip to Barnes and Noble for story time. There was a surprise guest there that Nathan really took a liking to. Peter Rabbit stopped in for a visit. Nathan was his biggest fan. He liked him so much that he cried when Peter Rabbit left. It's funny because he loved the Chuck E. Cheese character when Grandma took him to Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza, too. He cried when Chuck E. Cheese disappeared behind the curtain. Come to think of it, Nathan even loved the the characters at Zoo Atlanta when he was younger and should have been freaked out by them. Nathan's love of costumed characters leaves us no choice but to take a trip to Disney World sometime in the near future. I'll get busy planning.
Without hesitation, Nathan went right up to Peter Rabbit and shook his hand. After he did so, he turned around and smiled at everyone and stole Peter Rabbit's spotlight. Then the moment came that Grandpa lives for...people came up to him commenting on his cute, little grandson. Nathan posted up right in front of Peter Rabbit and wouldn't leave. Nathan is the biggest character of all.

Go Grin
I just realized that I forgot to share Nathan's professional pictures from Parker's birthday party last month. They had a photographer there, so Teresa requested that she take some pictures of Nathan, as well. Here are a few of my faves.
