Nathan was intrigued by corn on the cob after watching Mace eat it. He never really cared about it until then. Now he's a corn on the cob eatin' fool! I don't know if he really likes the taste as much as he likes playing with it, but oh well.
Have you ever seen anyone so excited over corn?Nathan makes this corn look like the best corn ever.
Now he's getting down to business.
He's also been getting creative with his play lately. Here he is sleeping in the bed he made.
Still pretending to sleep, but trying to make sure I'm watching him without it looking like his eyes are open.
Then the bed doubled as a fort.
Here is his other fort he made all by himself. He gathered all this stuff and built the walls around him. (Oops, notice the coloring on the wall right above his head. I guess Nathan's creative juices were flowing and they couldn't be contained to just the chalk board because while I was in the hospital, Nathan got creative on two couches, a window sill, an end table, his patio table and his bean bag chair. Or maybe his daddy wasn't paying attention.)
If anyone is wondering the secret behind Nathan's ability to run so fast. This is it. Clipping toenails. He used to hate having his toenails clipped until Steve told him that he can run faster with clipped toenails. Now he asks to have his toenails clipped every other day. Being able to run fast is the most important thing to Nathan right now.
Hmmm, I wonder if the toenail trick would work with Laura, since her toenails are always nasty and she goes nuts when I try to do something about them. "Hey, Laura, you want to run really fast? No? Oh, ok."
ReplyDeleteGuess it wouldn't work.
