Doggy Tales

We had to return Hershey to his family today. Nathan was upset with the whole idea of giving him back to his owners. He said, "No, not take little doggy to his mommy." Nathan certainly enjoyed feeling like a big shot for the past several days. I don't think he's cut out to be a little dog's owner, though. Actually, it would probably be inhumane of us to ever adopt a little dog. Nathan just wouldn't leave him alone. Hershey was the first thing on his mind each morning. He actually got a little jealous on a couple of occasions. When Nathan caught me holding Hershey like a little baby, he immediately needed on my lap. He told me, "Put little doggy down. Don't hold him." Kind of makes me wonder what life is going to be like when I have to hold a real baby. Yikes!

This was Nathan's sneaky way of feeding the dog. I told him not to feed the little doggy, but he knew that it was okay if Hershey ate crumbs off the floor. He pretended to eat chips, but he was really just crumbling them at his mouth and dropping them.
He got such a kick out of watching that little dog run around chasing crumbs.
No wonder Hershey put up with Nathan's constant attention. He knew Nathan would make sure he didn't go hungry.
Just making sure the little doggy knows that he's bigger.
Making Hershey wear a "cowboy hat."
Apparently, the little dog looked lonely on the back of the couch... all snuggled up and sleeping soundly.
Nathan lives to have dogs lick his face.

  1. Nathan's baby sister is going to have to get tough real quick. Kind of like it was when we brought Megan home from the hospital. Love, Lady

  2. That little Hershey sure looks like a sweet little dog! I loved the "cowboy hat" picture, and the way Nathan sneakily fed him. What a cute pair!

Can't wait to see him with the new baby... :)
