Beer on the Brain

Nathan and I went out shopping for an extra large pan so that Aunt Lexi can fix us her delicious breakfast scramble when she comes in. I know. People are going to stop coming to our house if we continue to make them work. I have a list of stuff for Lady, too. Anyways, I'll get back to my original thought. Nathan and I were looking at pans when he noticed a really large decorative jar. He yelled, "Mommy, that's a big beer!" I just kind of laughed and looked around. Then he proceeded to tell me that we need to go buy beer. I told him we didn't need to buy beer because Daddy makes sure the house is fully stocked at all times. I left off that last part, but it's true. So, after I told him we weren't going to buy beer, he kept on repeating, "I need to drink beer. I need to drink beer. Mommy, need beer?" During this nonstop beer conversation, there were about three other ladies all within five feet of us. I'm sure they thought I was a top notch mother. It looks like Nathan has beer on the brain. I can't imagine why Nathan is so intrigued with beer. Steve, do you have any idea where he would have picked up this beer fascination?

  1. Nathan is just being a true German. If there wasn't beer at our family gatherings when I was small, something very important was missing. Just ask Aunt Ruth.
P.S. See you tonight, Nathan. Lady

  2. Nathan's great uncle Larry has the same fascination with the fruit of the hops.
