T.G.I. Thursday

Yay! Paw-Paw arrived in Rapid City today. You know what that means. I get to dip out of all parenting responsibilities and become a lazy bum for the next six days. Not a bad deal, not bad at all. Last week, I started telling Nathan that Paw-Paw was going to come to his house. So yesterday, I told him that Paw-Paw would be here tomorrow. He responded with, "No Paw-Paw is coming next week.... on Friday." He came up with the Friday part himself. He is so funny.

Nathan was thrilled to see Paw-Paw at the airport. He was outside waiting for us when we pulled up. Nathan asked him if he was ready to go to his house. Paw-Paw told him that he was so Nathan then said, "Otay, get in the car!" He had a permanent smile on his face the whole way home. Once we got home, Nathan showed Paw-Paw to the spare room. As soon as they got to the room, Nathan informed Paw-Paw that he is not allowed to climb or sit on the desk. Hmmm, I can't imagine where Nathan got that from. I'm surprised he didn't go on to tell him that if he does decide to climb up there, he has to figure out how to get down all by himself because Mommy isn't going to help.
Then the gift-giving began. I'm not sure what the occasion was, early Christmas perhaps? Anyways, Nathan racked up with the gifts.

Of course, Paw-Paw brought him a new train piece. He didn't waste any time getting Paw-Paw on the floor to play "train track" with him.
Playing with his new dinosaur hat. He was scared of it at first and didn't want to have anything to do with it.

  2. You're right, Buzzy, but I'm glad PawPaw was able to make the trip to visit Nathan and the woman who lives with him...what's her name again? Oh yes, Megan. PawPaw did call me last evening and let me speak with Nathan so I'm still in the loop. Mom/Lady
