Jumping up and down the steps like a big boy.
We ran a couple of errands after story time then came home to enjoy a yummy lunch of "brocci" and "namatoes" from a veggie tray and chicken tenders and french fries. In case you can't tell, we only eat gourmet around here. After lunch, Nathan started digging through cabinets and found his fried onions. Of course, he immediately needed me to open them. He washed them down with what he thinks was one of Daddy's beers. It was actually a root beer. He took the first sip and said, "Gooooood."
He probably meant, "Good luck getting this away from me."
As he was eating his onions, I called Lady (Grandma). She was at work and acted like she was just so extremely busy when she answered and said she couldn't talk and blah, blah, blah. I told her Nathan wanted to talk to her and put her on speaker and gave Nathan the phone. It was amazing, all of her work must have magically disappeared because she had time to talk to Nathan for 20 minutes. He was a real talker today, too.
They have so much to talk about. They sing their alphabet together, count together, laugh about Mace and Hank and the bobbles. They could go on, and on, and on.
Yesterday, Nathan and I went to the humane society to look for the newest little Meissner. We are on a hunt for a dog for Nathan's 2nd birthday. It's actually probably more of a gift to me than anyone else, but Nathan will enjoy him or her, too. We aren't going to get the first dog we see, we're going to make sure he or she is the perfect fit...mainly because Grandma and Grandpa aren't willing to take in anymore pets. Here is Ichi (name would change), he's a year and half old Australian Shepherd mix. We met him yesterday and loved him. Steve still needs to go meet him, though. I initially wanted a puppy, but they don't stay small and cute long enough to make it worth it to have everything we own ripped to shreds. I learned my lesson with Mace.
