I look forward to Mother's Day more than any other holiday throughout the year. Obviously, not because of the gifts, but because that's the one day that I can hand Nathan over to Steve for the entire day without him making up excuses as to why he needs to bring him back to me after 20 minutes. He pushes through until the end of the day, with only minimal complaints.
If only there were some way that I could hand this baby over to Steve for the day, I would be in heaven. This one has been the real troublemaker.
This is Nathan's future baby brother or sister (I think sister) who will grace us with his or her presence around November 26. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and miserable. Nathan hasn't been the most supportive of me during my sickness either. If I tell him I'll be right back and take off running to the bathroom, he knows exactly what to expect. He thought throwing up was funny for the first few weeks, but now it's just become a nuisance to his play schedule. He stands in the bathroom right beside me, tugging on my clothes, yelling at me to, "Tum on, Mommy!" or "Mommy, all done?" Hopefully these days will end soon as I approach my second trimester.
To all the other moms out there, I hope you have a great Mother's Day.
