Old Mac is Back

Paw-Paw has seen the pictures and heard the stories, but he's never experienced Old MacDonald's Farm first hand...until yesterday. I'm sure it was everything he imagined it to be and more. Nathan was quite the little tour guide. He showed Paw-Paw all of his favorite animals and even invited him to play on the playground.

We started out by welcoming the new calves to the farm.
Nathan gave each one of the calves a hug.
Then on to the goats.
Nathan is letting the goat know that he'll most likely be his best friend over the next few months, considering he's there at least a couple of times per week during the summer.
Nathan even got to bottle feed the baby lambs. Here he is asking the lambs if they want a bottle.
Nathan fed the lamb for a few minutes then decided that he needed to go back and check on the chick hatching.
The most exciting part of all was watching the baby chick hatch. Nathan refused to leave the chicken house and insisted on watching the chick hatch. He told everyone who entered about, "Baby chick ah-ching!" He thought everyone needed to know about this miracle occurring.
Then he got to pet some baby chicks.
And he pet the bunny. We'll have to work on his gentle petting skills. He pet the chicks and bunny with the same force he pets Mace.
Then we had a picnic and played on the playground.
After lunch he ran a few laps around the entire farm. I'm serious. He "ran fast" along the entire outer edge. People could not believe his running ability. I would compare it to Forrest Gump.

  1. I don't think I would've left the chicken house until the chick hatched either! You don't see that everyday! Nice to see the Old MacDonald pics are back... :)
