We were at "Scary McDonald's" (the one on East North Street) and Nathan was turned around staring and being nosy to the booth behind us. It was a table with teenage boys and one boy got up to get more food and Nathan leaned over his seat and told the guys that "he'll be right back." Then the boy got back and Nathan seriously began studying his face. I knew what was about to happen so I cleaned our table quickly and got him away from the table. Sure enough, Nathan started repeating, "That boy has spots on his face." The teenage boy had acne. Luckily, I got him away quick enough so that the poor guy didn't hear him. I can never relax.
One day, we were at Chili's in a booth and Nathan's side of the seat backed up to another table. There was a guy sitting at the other table and he got up twice... and apparently disrupted Nathan's entire meal. The first time he got up, it shook Nathan's seat, but Nathan just looked at him. The second time it happened, Nathan said, "Awww geez, not again." The man then apologized to Nathan. Luckily, he was laughing. I wanted to crawl under the table at that point.
And, another McDonald's story. This time we were at "Gross McDonald's" in Walmart. I left Nathan in the shopping cart at our table while I got our drinks. He stood up in the cart and started yelling, "Hurry Mommy! These people are scary. Hurry!"
I thought these were pretty funny stories to share. I wanted to document them for when he's older and doesn't want me around because I embarrass him. It's only fair.
I am laughing out loud!! What a great idea to save for his embarrassment!
ReplyDeleteThese stories will definitely be the source of many happy memories and good laughing attacks as the years go by. Got my Monday off to a good start.
