The Jump Off

Last night Steve had to fly again so Nathan and I decided that we would just go to the pool. Nathan is so much fun at the pool. He always starts off a little scared so he clings to me for dear life, but then a little while later he's ready to go off on his own. The pool only allows floats from 7-9 p.m. so we tried out his float. He thought it was so much fun for the first five minutes, but then he tried getting out. I don't think he liked being confined to that one position. Once he got out of the float he was ready to explore. He walked all over the 2 ft. part of the pool and let me hold on to his armpits and drag him around the water in the "deep end" of the kiddie pool. That was pretty fun, but his favorite part of the night was learning to jump off the side. He was only jumping into two feet of water, but he was so proud of himself. He got so excited after each jump and looked up at me to make sure I was as excited about it as he was. Of course, I was just as excited, probably more so. I bet we did that at least 20 times.
