"What?!? You expect me to ride that?"
Nathan enjoyed his first ride on a merry-go-round.
Steve enjoyed his ride on the merry-go-round as well.
Nathan gives it a thumbs up.
Nathan enjoyed his first taste of fair food. He ate part of a chili dog and corn on the cob. We also packed him some clean snacks that flies haven't lived on all day.
You have to steal hugs and kisses when you get the chance because he's a busy boy.

Fair is Fair
This evening, Steve and Nathan and I went to the Central States Fair. It was pretty small and a little gross, but Nathan had fun. He got to ride the merry-go-round. He was too little to ride everything else. Guess what animal Nathan rode. The most fitting for him....a goat! I told Steve to do whatever it takes to get Nathan on that goat. Luckily, Steve and Nathan were the first ones in line so no children were harmed.
Nathan and I ripped open the Oreos as soon as we got home from the grocery store. He shares my love of Oreos.
I build the castles, Nathan knocks them down.

Meme, I told you fairs of the last 20 years are dirty and nasty, but you had to see for yourself. Now you know why you and Joe only went one time to the Tennessee Valley Fair. Now the Van Wert County Fair was quite something else through my youthful eyes....funnel cakes, french fries with vinegar and throwing washers (small round things) on cheap glass plates.
ReplyDeleteI live on oreos too!! Must run in the family! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteI saw my dad's pictures from the Ohio trip. Your kids are precious!
