Trick or Treat....Again

Sorry to make you read about Nate Dogg's Halloween adventures again, but he did more celebrating today. It's getting to be as redundant as Old MacDonald's Petting Farm did over the summer. We went to Grandma's work for more trick or treating today. He racked up the treats. His little bag wasn't big enough to hold everything. Grandma passed out some of Nathan's favorite treats to a few of her coworkers to give to him. He left with a few Hot Wheels cars, Pez dispensers and push pops, as well as the usual treats. His favorite part of the trip to GE was the conference room full of food. He quickly settled in near the food and wouldn't leave until he had two large helpings of bean dip. When I say large, I mean huge.

Nathan came home and inspected the pumpkin.

Nathan's final trick or treat destination was Aunt Ruth and Uncle Larry's house. Nathan also got to meet my godmother, Sharon, for the first time, as well as Grandma's cousin and aunt.
"Now remind me one more time what I'm supposed to do."
This dog is going to be hanging around Aunt Ruth and Uncle Larry's house now that they gave him food.
Mace is one lucky dog. Nathan came home and shared his trick or treat goodies with Mace.

Pumpkin Party

Nathan's class had a Halloween party at school today. He got to wear his dalmatian costume to school. His class was so cute. The other kids were dressed as a fisherman, Pebbles and BamBam, and a ninja. They walked all around the school and scored some pretty tasty treats. Lucky for me, Nathan only has six teeth.

Here are some pictures from the party today. Starting with Nathan at the bottom of the picture and going clockwise, that's Kaitlyn, Tristan, Jackson and Evan.
Ms. Tiffany and the mommies and kids enjoying the party.

After school, Nathan and I stopped by for a visit with Great Grandma. We arrived during Grandma's lunch so we just played and hung out until she finished eating. He loved all the Halloween decorations. We surprised her as she was coming out of the dining room. She was so excited to show Nathan off to her friends. He picked up a few treats from Great Grandma then we headed home.

Quick Turnaround

To be honest, I thought Ms. Katie, Nathan's gymnastics teacher, was crazy when she said that it would probably take about two weeks for Nathan to become more receptive to the class. I thought it would take much longer. Today, Nathan was like a totally different kid. He was climbing and flipping and playing with other kids (and ignoring me unless it benefitted him). I would always wait to make Nathan be one of the last kids to try each activity because he has a tendency to climb up on the spring board or mat or whatever else and dance for a couple of seconds before jumping down. The mommies and nannies were cracking up watching what I get to deal with on a daily basis.

After gymnastics, Nathan and I stopped by Grandma's work for a little bit. Nathan put on his best sweet, little boy act and fooled everyone in the office. We had lunch with Grandma at a Mexican restaurant then headed home for a nap. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did considering how much energy he expended during gymnastics. He was a wild man.

Here he is showing off his new dinosaur jammies.

Fool for School

Tuesdays are one of Nathan's favorite days of the week. He got to go to school this morning. He went right to Ms. Dana and didn't even care as I told him bye and walked out the door. His class baked a pumpkin pie today. He helped pour and mix the ingredients. What a mess that must have been! He must have had a blast all day because when I arrived to pick him up he didn't run up to me like he's done on the previous days. He acknowledged my presence just by throwing a ball to me and laughing, then he kept on playing with the other kids. He wasn't ready to leave, I had to pick him up and carry him out the door.

After school today, Nathan and I came home and played. Here are some pictures.
Nathan shares everything with Mace. Mace gladly accepted the ball.

Hank is funny, too. He had some kind of skin irritation to I took him to the vet yesterday. It's pretty gross, but I'll show a picture anyways so that Steve can see it. Hank refused to get out of the car once we got home. He wanted to secure his spot for the next time I had to go somewhere. He sat in the car for three hours before I decided to just go somewhere so that he would get out of the car.

Three hours later and still waiting patiently.
