Nathan woke up to find a brand new Ford F-150 waiting for him this morning. Grandma and Grandpa talked Santa Claus into bringing a toy early for Nathan to enjoy before it gets too cold to play with it. I don't know how Grandma and Grandpa got Santa to agree to this because they sure didn't have that kind of luck when Uncle Joe and I were kids. We would sometimes get to open one present one day early. My, how things have changed.
Nathan missed school on Tuesday because we were in Tennessee. He's already ditching school after only one day. It was worth it, though. We had fun on our trip. Today they had music and movement again, which is one of his faves. They did some activity that involved throwing bean bags. When I picked Nathan up, Ms. Tiffany mentioned that Nathan had quite an arm on him. She also mentioned that he loves lights (no surprise there) and airplanes. She said he stopped playing on the playground and pointed up and said "airpane" when an airplane flew over. He wouldn't continue playing until it was out of sight. Of course, I arrived a few minutes early so that I could watch him play before I went in the room to pick him up. He was sitting at the table putting stickers on his art project. I would give anything to know the secret to getting Nathan to sit down in a chair without being strapped in, and do what I tell him to do, and have him be happy about it. It's amazing.
Maybe Nathans grandpa could talk to my grandpa!!!! That truck is awesome!
