I woke Nathan up 15 minutes before we left our house to go to the airport yesterday morning. Poor kid woke up and was whisked away to the airport. I was afraid that would put him in a bad mood because he prefers to wake up on his own in a very relaxing manner, but he was just fine.
From beginning to end, he was all smiles during our day of travel. I don't get to say this about him much (if at all), but he was absolutely perfect. He only slept for an hour from Denver to Atlanta, but that was okay because he was so sweet. We looked out the windows and talked about the clouds in the sky. He's big into clouds, stars, moon and sky now. We read books and played with cars. We even got to build a fort on the first leg. Nathan had his own seat on both flights so that made it so much easier.
Nathan in Rapid City pushing his stroller up and down the terminal. Yes. Yes, I did leave him in his pajamas so that he would be comfortable. I changed his clothes when we got to Denver.
Here's a picture of his fort.
Nathan made a friend in Denver. This is Addie.
She was three years old (much older and wiser) so she felt the need to guide him as he walked.
