Labor of Love

Steve went fishing and Grandma went home this morning so Nate and I were stuck with each other for most of the day. That's how it is normally, but after having the weekend off I realize how exhausting it is. Nathan is quite a handful, but I love every minute of it! Okay, okay, almost every minute of it.

Here we are playing today.
Taking a leisurely stroll down the block.
Now he's moved on to sprinting.
This is the result of sneezing while eating chocolate.
A little sandbox time.
Grandma and Grandpa loaded Nathan up with some new Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. Then Daddy surprised Nathan with even more cars yesterday. His garage is filling up quickly.
He drives his cars up and down the window sill.
Nathan has been reading to himself lately. He sits down with his books all by himself and reads out loud.
Tonight, Tyler and his mom and dad brought pizza over and we watched the Tennessee game. Nathan even recruited Tyler as a Tennessee fan, but it still wasn't enough to overcome UCLA.

  1. It's coming....the "which one do you like best", question. Megan started out being content driving her cars on our window ledges in Tennessee before she started seeking out Grandpa, Grandma, or Uncle Joe to ask "the question" to, over and over again.
Grandpa is going to have 1 1/2 hours of viewing pleasure from the videos I took of Nathan this weekend.
Nathan said Haggerty this weekend and did a pretty good job of saying it in his own way. I think I'll have him call me "Haggerty" since he doesn't say Grandma. When I asked him where Grandma was, he brought me Grandpa's picture. I can't have that.
    Love, Grandma

  2. I'm sure Nathan was as embarassed as I was with the result of the Tennessee game.
