Nathan goes to the pediatrician on base, so as we were entering base he noticed all of the airplanes at South Dakota Air and Space Museum. I drove by slowly so that he could stare for as long as possible because I could see the amazement in his eyes. As we left base yesterday, I decided that I was going to bring him back to the Air and Space Museum to check out the airplanes up close. I wasn't sure what to expect from him, but in the very least I thought he would probably have fun playing in the gravel. As we pulled in the parking lot he began gasping in awe and pointing to the airplanes. He was absolutely fascinated. For the first time in his life, he walked across gravel without bending down to play in it. I finally found one thing he likes more than playing in dirt.
I'm warning you, there are a bunch of pictures on this post. There were so many good ones and I couldn't decide which ones to post. Then I thought, I don't have to choose. This is my blog and I can do what I want. Besides, there are never too many pictures for grandparents. Enjoy.
I guess Nathan inherited his daddy's love of airplanes. He walked all around and pointed and said "ahhhhhhh airpane" over and over. He was finally ready to leave after an hour (way longer than I expected). Apparently, studying airplanes is exhausting. He fell asleep within three minutes of getting in the car.
The way it looks now, the family military tradition will continue with our little man. I especially like the picture of Nathan in front of the B-1. That picture is definitely one that should be enlarged and displayed at Grandpa and Grandma's house with all the other pictures of Nathan on display. Love, Grandma
ReplyDeleteSeeing all those B-1 pictures makes me wish I could go back to flying them...sort of.
ReplyDeleteUncle Joe has a blue sweater just like Nathan's, it's his absolute favorite sweater!
