Mind Your Manners

Steve and I have been working double time on teaching Nathan his manners. If we had to listen to him yell and grunt when he needed something for one more day, we were both going to go crazy. I'm proud to say, he mastered the use of the word 'please.' The problem we're facing now is Nathan thinks he can get anything he wants by saying "deeze." In Nathan's world, the word please doubles as a thank you, as well. He follows us around with books and we drop down on the floor to read it to him just because he looks up and says "deeze." He'll be in a different room and he'll need help with something and we just hear a "deeze" in the distance and we jump up to help him all because he said "deeze." We're only on our third day of this, but I'm guessing this is going to get old in the very near future.
Nathan is at such a fun age now. He provides Steve and me with more than enough entertainment each day. I think he's beginning to realize he's cute and that sucks. Here are some pictures of him being cute. A typical Daddy breakfast. Steve hands him a box of Cheerios.
I guess Nathan was still hungry after his breakfast. He took it upon himself to find more food.
By the look on Nathan's face, it's a good thing he's wearing a diaper!
That first toss is always scary, but the ones following are so much fun.
Nathan has always had a love of music and ever since he's been mobile, he's been a dancing fool. I'm the lucky one who gets to be his dance partner. Steve had the job of DJ-ing. And by DJ-ing, I mean he found the Time Life Rock Ballads 30 minute commercial that Nathan couldn't resist.

Here he is trying to be cute so he can stay up just a little bit longer.
Now he's up to no good.

  1. He looks so big in that last picture--almost too big to be wearing a diaper!

  2. Cute pictures, as usual. Always something new going on with Nathan. Love, Grandma
