Big Boy Bed
Recently, Nathan has come up with a new bedtime routine. It includes making Steve lie in his room with him while he falls asleep. Not the most comfortable situation, considering Steve usually falls asleep before Nathan and ends up sleeping on the floor using stuffed animals as pillows and covering up with tiny blankets. We decided (for Steve's comfort) that it was time for Nathan to move to a big boy bed. Ever since we moved the bed in his room tonight, all we've heard about was "bee boy bed, Nafen." We are constantly invited to play on his new bed. He goes to his room, and yells for us to come back too. He tells Steve and me to "jump it." I think he thought we were saying "jump it" when we were really saying "jumping." Oh well, we say jump it now. Who needs gymnastics when you have your very own big boy bed to bounce on? We are waiting to put the bed on a frame to see how well he does with not falling out. He already did a belly flop off of it, on purpose. Luckily it was onto a pile of pillows. I'm so excited to get to redecorate. I couldn't decide between more airplanes or a sports theme. Surprisingly, Steve said to go with the sports.

So, do we have a verdict yet on sleeping in the big boy bed? Can't believe he's already out of his crib! Seems like yesterday when you were pregnant with him!
