Bring on the Heat

Nathan and I have been getting ready to take our trip to San Antonio. We leave tomorrow for what is sure to be an awesome time. Nathan is most likely going to be bouncing off the walls during our entire visit, thanks to Uncle Joe's instigating. Uncle Joe thinks it's fun to get Nathan all wound up. That's fine with me though, because Lady is flying in too. I'm guessing she'll most likely be the primary caretaker for the entire vacation. That's just how it always seems to work out. :)

We are packed and ready to go. It was easy because all I had to pack for Nathan was a toothbrush, toothpaste, diapers and wipes. Lady is bringing his new spring/summer 2009 wardrobe. I can't wait. I'm just glad to finally get to wear some of my summer clothes. I will definitely be enjoying the warm weather (low 80's) while we're there.

I don't have any pictures of him packing, but here's one of him checking out his new Clover Cars, made specifically for St. Patrick's Day. It's just a green Hot Wheels car with a clover on it.

Another Big Boy Bed Update:
I know readers are probably thinking this is overkill on the big boy bed topic, but Nathan has relatives, especially grandparents, who care about the tiniest details of his life. Nathan has adjusted to his bed full time, naps included. I told him it was time for his nap today and he dropped his basketball and ran and jumped on his big boy bed and covered up. Then he invited me to rest with him. How could I refuse such a sweet offer? A comfy bed, a dark room and my sweet little boy looking at me. I think I fell asleep before he did. I slept for about 20 minutes then snuck out. I think I like this routine. There you have it, Nathan is almost a full up big boy. One more task to overcome before it's official....potty training. Yikes!
Oh yeah, one more quick note. I have people asking to see Nathan's newest girlfriend...2 grandma's to be exact. They're just becoming friends so I didn't want to be the obnoxious paparazzi just yet. I'll get you some pictures next week if the weather is nice.

  1. The only way I would ever have a kid would be if I was guaranteed it would be exactly like Nathan. But until that happens, I'll just have dogs.

  2. Hank was following me around last night as I was packing. He's so afraid he is going to be left behind once again.
