Gesundheit

For the past couple of weeks, Steve and I thought Nathan has been saying "too tight." We would ask him what's too tight and ask for more details, but he didn't have anything else to say. Finally, I figured it out. When he sneezes or coughs, he says "gundheit" afterwards. He either remembers that from his first trimester of existence in Germany or he picked it up from Opa a couple of weeks ago. Not only does Nathan find the new phrase fitting for sneezes and coughs, but he also uses it after he "toots." I guess that falls into the health category too. I'm probably going to associate gesundheit with passing gas for the rest of my life now.

Nathan and I hiked up the big hill behind our house today. We went up and explored some new territory.
A the view of our roof down below.
The happy hiker.
On his way to the top. Once he gets there he says, "I tall."
Lucky for us, these hills block the strong winds so we can play outside even on windy days. If you've ever been to South Dakota, you know how bad the wind sucks here. Or I guess I should say it blows.
I'm not sure, but is it normal that Nathan loves nuts? More specifically pecans and pistachios. Those don't seem like normal toddler foods, but whatever.
