Planes, Trains & Automobiles

We had beautiful weather over the weekend. As you can see, my standards for nice weather have decreased substantially. I think it feels warm outside when I only have to dress Nathan in his little white hat instead of his furry plaid one.

On Saturday, Steve and I took Nathan to the "paygound" so he could "side." I made the mistake of telling him we were going to the playground before we were ready to walk out the door. He kept bringing us our shoes and trying to get the front door open before we were ready. He kept saying, "Mommy, Daddy, paygound. Nafen side." He got his chance to slide. And Steve and I got our chance to play on the teeter-totter. Nathan hated it so he chose to push us.
Tree hugger. If only he had some Birkenstocks.
The playground was just a warm up to Nathan's day of fun. After we left the playground we headed to the Air and Space Museum to check out some airplanes. It was Nathan's dream day. He ran around through mud puddles and gravel looking at airplanes. Could life get any better than that? Only if he would have had a bag of Cheetos.

I broke down and scooted the dining room table against the wall so that Nathan would have room for his train set. Not only do I have cars scattered throughout the house, now I have trails of trains and tracks.

Unfortunately for me, in the time that it takes for him to eat four Cheetos, I can eat half the bag.
Sunday was another warm day so, of course, we had to spend it outside. Nathan played with the sidewalk chalk just long enough to make a few scribbles.
Then he took off running down the sidewalk.
As far as he's concerned, sidewalks aren't meant for drawing on. They're only meant for running.
My little runaway.
And, to complete the post, Nathan and his cars.
